I’m not sure how this salon has good reviews but I’m regretting taking a chance and going here rather than driving across town to my normal salon. My mom and I got liquid gel, full set. My mom’s nails were beautiful. Her tech took the time to sculpt the liquid gel perfectly so the nail looks natural. My tech rushed through the entire process. I sat down 10 minutes after my mom’s and was finished 5 minutes before her. The nail tech made my nails bumpy, no apex at all. And majority of the nails are flat and over filed for the almond shape, making them look even worse. Liquid gel is not something you RUSH through because you have to create a shape to the nail that regular gel X extensions do for you. I handed the tech paint phone with a photo of the color I wanted, which was a mute pale green. She chose baby robin easter egg blue. I of course didn’t notice the drastic color change until she painted ALL of my nails and had me cure the first hand. She also didn’t paint my nails great because even after 3 coats, there’s a few nails where I can see uneven painting. Both my mom and her tech noticed how quickly my tech was rushing with my nails and how uneven she was applying the liquid gel. We were also supposed to get pedicures but once we were done, no one told us where to go sit for 10 minutes. So we decided to leave and pay for our nails. The pricing of this place is crazy especially for the huge inconsistency of their work. Never will I recommend this salon to anyone.
While Joseph does a good job with my mails, the nail polish has come off within a day or two off more than one nail. This happened twice. The first tome I was away so didn’t do anything. The second time, I called to come in to fix it, they said just come, any technician will fix, they don’t make appointments for that. I came in at 1030 am, the man at the front (who does nails but was just sitting and another one that also was just sitting on his phone) said they have no one available come back in 30 or 40 mins. I said I couldn’t and asked if I can wait. He said sure. Then asked what I had done, he said oh, we can’t fix that. Joseph has his own stuff and he’s on vacation for 3 weeks. I asked what can we do then. He said nothing, we can’t fix it. I explained that I had just gotten it done a day or two earlier. He said, sorry, can’t do anything for you. So as I was leaving I said I will never go there again, so he said, that’s fine. Good bye. So in the end, horrible customer service and that man at the front is utterly rude. I spent $75 on a manicure and they had zero consideration for a customer. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. ZERO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ZERO FOR THE FACT THAT THE POLISH COMES OFF AFTER A DAY OR TWO. After three days they responded to my review, repeating what they said to me at the store which was wait for the original technician (who was gone on a three week vacation) because he uses his own stuff. Why couldn’t they fix my nail so it looks the same, who cares what product is used as long as it looked good and the same as the rest. Their response to my review was that I was rude because I told them I will never go there again. They confirmed my original review and feedback that they have zero customer service and are rude. Clearly they don’t even understand what is proper customer service.
I am no newbie to artificial nails, and I simply cannot say enough good things about AMY at Grand Nail Salon. I have liquid gel and she did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job for me. I am over-the-moon delighted. Not only is Amy incredibly experienced [18 years] and talented, she is a delightful person to spend time with. I have not found another nail tech in Leland [and I've tried MANY] who is as talented as she is. I also met Jennifer while I was there and she is a lovely lady as well. Gorgeous salon, clean, calm....just an all-around wonderful experience. THANK YOU, AMY!!!!!!! I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!
Very happy with my nails! The tech really took her time, maybe a little to much lol This is the only reason why I’m not giving a 5 star is because it took quite a while ????
This was my first and only visit to this salon for a pedicure. My daughter gave me a $78 gift receipt and they would not honor it because all I had was a receipt and not a card. I called my daughter while I was there and she told me she never was given a card, only a receipt. The gentleman would not listen to me or my daughter. He wanted me to pay again for my pedicure. The receipt I had some of the card numbers on it, along with the date that she bought the gift receipt. He was very rude and would even talk about resolving the situation. I gave him the receipt and left, he said he was calling the police on me when I left and followed me to my car and took a picture of my license plate.
