I never had a bad pedicure till my parents moved to Wilmington in 25 years of pedicures. The woman who did my nails was very rough. She used a stiff brush very harshly on the top of my foot, which I have never had anyone do before. She also had extremely long nails of her own and was constantly stabbing me and scratching me with them. Particularly painful when she was running her nails under mine after painting. She didn’t smile or look at me. I asked her several times to cut my nails shorter and round and got no indication she heard me. Then she overcompensated but doing them very short, but they weren’t evenly filed so they looked rough and uneven. The massage was decent but really cold. I’m not sure if she was pissed about something or what. She disappeared afterward. I was with my mom, and her nail tech was so nice, and she came back and helped her get her shoes on and out of the chair. I also noticed there was paint still all over my skin I’m fine to fend for myself, but I definitely noticed a significant difference in how we were treated and honestly don’t think I should have been charged the same price for such a different experience. She also grabbed my stuff from me right when I was trying to get settled and trying to get something out of my bag, which I had said I was going to do. And I took it back and she jammed it back on the table. It’s was weird and uncomfortable. Update: The tops of my feet still hurt from the way she scrubbed at them, and under the nails from her nails and it’s been an hour.
I had a great experience at Envy Nails. All the employees worked together seamlessly to create a relaxing and enjoyable pedicure session. The foot massage was one of the best I’ve had — truly soothing and thoughtful. I really appreciated the pampering and attention to detail.
Went to meet a friend for a manicure as she recommended the place. Staff was friendly enough but only there for the business, it was not a very personable greeting. Got a simple gel manicure in which the gel is not smooth and I noted this to the tech and she did not do anything to fix it. Put my top coat on and dried it up. It has been 2 days since getting my nails done and the gel is already peeling off. Additionally, the tools used on my fingers did not appear to be sanitized and based on recent previous reviews, sanitization may be lacking here. Tools were pulled from a drawer and used on me then spritzed one time with I assume alcohol and put back in the drawer. Staff commented negatively that I only got a gel manicure after my friend had advised I was meeting her. She gets acrylics and was charged for a design the salon was not honest about not being able to execute. I would not recommend this salon if you are looking for a clean, quality, lasting set or manicure.
The staff were SO nice and detailed! I got a great pedicure. She also put her back into the foot massage, had a really great, relaxing time!
Sloppiest nail painting for pedicure. Have been a customer here for a while but did not recognize regular staff. Very disappointed in my pedicure.
