Conveniently located opposite Market City, this Thai restaurant is frequently patronised by locals and tourists. The food is authentic and reminds me of meals in Thailand. The highlights for me: - Reasonably priced. The steamed fish was truly value for money at $20.90 for a whole fish. Loved how they stuffed it with herbs and that enhanced the flavours significantly. The level of lime in the broth was also spot on. - Staff were attentive and pleasant. - After placing the order via QR code, there was an indication of how long to expect for the food. As for the other dishes ordered: - The crab meat fried rice was quite nice, although i would have preferred fried rice that is less "wet". It did taste good with the chilli in fish sauce condiment that came with it. Although a little dearer, the portion was quite large for a single person to consume. The amount of crab was of moderate amount. - The quail egg wontons were fried crispy but had a quaint vinegar taste to it. Overall, a pleasant meal and I can understand why people keep coming back to Doodee. Definitely on the list of places I would come back to.
I ordered noodle and boiled rice on my visit. The food was so delicious, made me feel at home. I will come back again next time.
Very cute place and comfy atmosphere. Had the recommended Tom Yum noodles, Moo Ping, Keaw Tod, and lunch special pad thai. The soup was amazing and authentic! Skewers were great as well! The special wonton was surprisingly good! Pad thai was a bit too sweet. Probably because of southern Thai style flavor ???? Update: ordered pad see ew, chicken wing larb and spring rolls via delivery. All were delicious!
I was really looking forward to this, but wow — total letdown. The crispy pork still had fur on the skin. Actual fur. That’s just nasty and shows zero attention to cleanliness. The meat was dry and tough, and the sauce didn’t help much — just made it a messy cover-up. Not sure what’s going on in the kitchen, but this was seriously off-putting. Definitely not coming back.
Food was great, my friends had pad thai and i had this noodle dish that i forgot the name hahah. All of them were amazing, i overestimated myself and chose medium heat for the noodles and they surely killed me but the flavors were fantastic! The portion was huge! Only downside is i think this place needs better air ventilation because we sat there eating for 45 minutes or around that and walked out smelling like food ???????? like our hair, our coats (that i put in my totebag, no ideas how it got the smell as well), our clothes, our bags... This was very frustrating and annoying as we had an event after. So, probably eat here when you're sure that you don't have any important events after. Still highly recommend for the food though.
