San Jose Steakhouse & Mexican

I hadn't been in almost 9 years. The steak sandwich was still good & the owner was still present as always & greeting customers! It's a great place to take your family & friends for a quality meal!

Nice change of pace restaurant with a friendly staff and tasty food. I usually go with the patty melt or steak sandwich but tonight I went with the steak fajita burrito. I'm glad I made that decision. The steak was nice and juicy and the onions and green peppers coupled with the white queso on top gave the burrito a great taste. The meal also came with refried beans and rice, however I swapped the beans for another helping of rice. Also, included with each Mexican dish is a free order of delicious chips and salsa. Will definitely return.

After the experience I had there tonight, I will never return. The manager on duty (Shannon) was extremely unprofessional and extremely disrespectful to our group. We were sat in their meeting room and when we asked to sit in the dining area, we were told we were fine to sit in the meeting room (the restaurant maybe had 4-5 tables of customers during this time). We only had a group of 7 of us. In the middle of our meeting, we were told we were being charged $100 for using the room unless at least half of us ordered food then it would only be $25. 5 out of the 7 of us either ordered either appetizers or salads. Then we were told that since we didn’t order meals we were still being charged $100 for using the room. We had asked to move out the room before we ordered and were told we were fine to stay. The manager got an attitude with a couple members of our group, called the owner of the restaurant on her phone and belittled our group while on the phone with the owner in front of us. As a paying customer of many years, my family will never return. Also, our group will never return for any meetings after being treated like that.

Food was filling and decent for a Mexican restaurant. They had the white sauce on both the enchiladas and chimichanga. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer & a pitcher of margarita on the rocks. Very filling! Good thing my husband was here to finish the pitcher!

We will never step foot in this place again! The wife and I used to eat here once a week for there $1 taco nights. We hadn't been there for awhile but mentioned it to a group of us to use it for our meeting. What a mistake that was. We were told it was ok to use the back room since the lobby was basically empty anyways and didn't have any reservations. Once we were seated and ordered drinks then the waitress tells us unless we order food we will be charged $100 for the room. So reluctantly 5 of 7 of us order food. After only 3 of us actually get our food, then the waitress tells us the manager wanted to express that we would be charged the $100 because we didn't order full meals. When we requested to speak with the manager and tried to resolve the issue peacefully, the manager (Shannon) immediately got an attitude, started yelling and cursing at our group, and then says she's going to call the owner. When the owner shows up he addressed the issue, tells Shannon to just let it go, as she is continueing to badger and ridicule us, then the owner says "Shannon just let it go, you'll never win with people like this"! After that statement we all (the group) decide its best to just leave. As we go to the front to pay for our bills, the manager (Shannon) yells "make sure they pay, they seem like the type to just run off". Never have I not paid for my bill, never even a thought. Especially, to a small business. But after this experience my family and friends will never step foot in this place again. They will not ever get $1 of my money ever again!
