Red's Bakery

Visited Red's tonight and found a warm, friendly atmosphere . I sampled three different cheese cake flavors and found all 3 to be uniquely delicious . While dining in, I had a chance to meet Red and her lovely daughter. Both of whom work tirelessly to churn out fresh treats to please every Taste Bud . Red's operating hours are basically opened more than closed . Where, Wednesday to Saturday, they are open 24hrs ! This provides fresh baked goods to many in need of a late night treat and a warm smiling face . I would highly recommend you try Red's Bakery on Commercial Street in Nanaimo. You'll be glad you did :)

This bakery had the best Nanaimo bar compared to any other restaurant!! 5/5 It was our first trying one as we were visiting Nanaimo for the first time from Vancouver. They recommended the classic bar which is a must try. No wonder the place wins the best Nanaimo bar certificate continuously every year (we did see them hanging on the wall) Rest of the snack bites were a bit over priced as it did not have much filling and portion size was small. We tried the chicken sausage roll and veggie roll. It was served hot - hot so thankful for that during this cold weather. Service is marked 4 as we visited the place twice and the first time we felt the attendant was getting a bit impatient and wanted to complete our order asap. The next day morning there was a different attendant who was super nice and we had a chit-chat. We had gone back to buy more Nanaimo bars before heading back home. Atmosphere can be better as the place looked old and furniture needed some upgrade. We totally recommend the place for desserts ????

Dropped by on a whim and what a great surprise. First of all they are open 24 hours 7 days a week. Blows my mind it's super convenient not to have to check people's hours. But the topper is the food is amazing. We shared a samosa and a taco pastry. Fabulous, can't wait to go back for the cheesecake. Also found some cheeky little greeting cards. Awesome.

Open early, great pastry great muffins. Great approach to helping others. We stopped in for coffee and pastry and were very impressed. They have both sweet and savory and all made in-house. The sausage pastry is the best I’ve had and he explained they grind the sausage in house. They have a great program to feed those in need and it is really great to see community helping those in need. I encourage you to support them

The best bakery in town, hands down. Not only amazing food and desserts , awesome customer service. Always nice talking to the owners when I shop there, they take pride in their work. The world needs more awesome dedicated business owners like these. I also like the fact they are open in the wee hours of the night for sales while they are baking. I was there at 2:20am last night after the clubs and it made my night complete, I ate there, then purchased goodies for home. Of course I will be back!!! PS: Best cheesecake in town!!!
