Cod Squad Fish & Chips

Lovely, quaint little place. Ordered the Halibut meal and really enjoyed it. Tartar sauce is great (and free) and coleslaw is mild & crunchy. I was worried the fish wouldn’t be crispy enough cause the color came out pretty light.. but it was very good. Maybe could’ve used another minute in the fryer to be excellent. $40 for 2-piece after tax+tip, which seems fair. I’ll definitely be coming back :)

Cod Squad Fish & Chips is fantastic! The chips are cooked to perfection, halibut filet is top-notch. Amazing fish and chips with excellent service. Busy on Fridays but really worth the wait. The fisherman-like decorations and details add a unique charm, and there's lots of parking space. Highly recommended!

This place is currently open only for takeout. To say they have large portions is an understatement. The fish portions are twice the size of other places and same holds for the fries. There's quite a bit of oil so you'll want to get extra napkins to soak up the oil from the fish and fries. The batter is crunchy and tasty. It's a good idea to order the pickens which are the fish version of chicken nuggets. I however did not like their tartar sauce or coleslaw. It did nothing to enhance what was very good fish and chips. So we brought some home, put it into the toaster oven with paper towels to soak up the oil, got the tartar sauce I bought at Whole Foods and had a wonderful meal.

I had the two pieces of cod and chips(22.00) the fish was a little overcooked. The batter was light and crispy the way I like it. The staff where pleasant and friendly.

I know it’s fish but it tasted way too fishy kinda gross fishy and the cod burger went soggy fast. Fries are good but I didn’t finish the burger.
