My son lives in Chattanooga & I live about 3 hours away. When I visit, I ALWAYS want to go here. I always get the fried green tomatoes, okra, onion rings & catfish. The prices are reasonable, too.

One of the hidden gems of Chattanooga when it comes to BBQ. Small, mom & pop style restaurant. Dined here last night after a lacrosse game at Baylor with my family (I’ve been many times, but it was their first). My go-to is the BBQ quesadilla- can be ordered 1/2 order or full order. Perfection as always. Food comes out PIPING hot. My side order of baked beans were so fresh I had to wait 10 min for them to cool. Their Mac and cheese is the BEST! Perfectly seasoned and peppered. You can’t go wrong with this place no matter what you order. Prices reflect what the prices have always been. Very affordable and great service! This should be the Baylor go to spot after sporting events! Forgot to take pictures, but go see for yourself!

First time stopping in and we were impressed. Clean interior, fast ordering process and food was out in under 8 minutes. Everything tasted homemade - nothing from a can! We both had plate dinners with meat and 2 sides. Two drinks and shared dessert (banana pudding). The catfish my hubby has was apparently amazing and he's picky! My pulled chicken was good and flavorful. All the side dishes were piping hot and fresh. The banana pudding ranks near the top of my list due to the fresh cut banana and crunchy wafers they add upon ordering so you know how fresh it is. We spent $31+ tip and the portions were very fair. Price is definitely justified for the portions and quality. We will certainly be return patrons!

Very disappointed in my second trip here. I got the combo plate, and they were out of ribs so I subbed brisket. They warned me it would be an up charge and I understood, but my plate consisted of a couple shreds of pork, chicken, and two of the thinnest slices of brisket that could possibly be cut. This wouldn’t have bothered me that much, but my food was also cold to the touch. I ordered for takeout, but I ate in my car on my way home so there should be no reason for everything to be cold. My fried okra was crispy but undercooked to the point it was so chewy I wouldn’t easy it. My girlfriend got a burger, and compared it to her middle school’s cafeteria slider. I will give credit where credits due, the Mac and cheese and fried pickles were good, but not nearly good enough to spend $40 on bad bbq. If I hadn’t had driven off I would’ve returned my plate and asked for a refund. I’m disappointed to know I’ve recommended this place after getting screwed tonight.

Traveled down from Iowa and thought Southern BBQ might be worth a try. Happened upon Nooga Q because it was on our route and it was PHENOMENAL. The meat was tender, juicy, flavorful. The service, incredible. Food was served hot and ready so fast. So so so so good.
