District Pour House

We came here for book club and had a fabulous time! Our waitress exhausted, but very attentive, friendly and gave us a free carrot cake, when she brought it by mistake. They have a vast and nicely organized cocktail menu. The food was all fantastic! My Duck Risotto was only $23–the cheapest I’ve ever seen this dish on the menu. I would have paid way more than that for a dish of this quality. I highly recommend!

A surprisingly good hidden gem in KC! Fine dining, it ain't. But what you do get is food elevated above the typical pub, decent service and comfortable surroundings. Tried the pork chop and short rib ravioli - both were hits. Again, have I had better versions of both dishes? Yes, even if just limiting that to KC. But they were tasty dishes at a reasonable price point and worth your visit for a casual dinner out. I'll be back!

The pork chops were delicious. Quite a good amount of meat. Also tender and juicy. Wonderful flavor accents from the chimichurri drizzle and sauteed spinach, mushrooms, grape tomatoes and garlic over mashed potatoes. A very well put together dish. Also a great choice if you want something higher in protein and lower in carbs.

This is a cool place, nice atmosphere. Service was so slow! We waited over 20 mins to even be greeted by our server. We got there before 6 to fit into the happy hour (that ends at 6) but because our server took so long, it was after 6 so we didn't get happy hour drinks. The food was just okay, overpriced for the amount and quality.

Excellent experience! We were super excited for a new restaurant within walking distance from our neighborhood. The bartender, Hugh, appeared to be the only bartender running the bar on a Friday night, yet he was quick, helpful, and super friendly. The food was delicious. We had the seafood dip, short rib ravioli, cheesesteak sandwich. Our waiter, Tony, was super personable, professional, and just an overall nice guy giving us a great dinner experience. We were told we’d have a 30 minute wait but we’re seated within 15 minutes. This place has only been open for 3-4 weeks, so of course there will be some kinks to workout, but you can count on us to be frequent flyers!
