Cope's Knotty Pine Cafe

Knotty Pine is Bakersfield famous! I've been here many times and it's always the same quality. It has that old school diner vibe, and it's always packed because it's great! The portions are huge, and I haven't tried anything I didn't like. I ordered the T-bird sandwich, which has real roasted turkey not deli meat. My mom got the fish and chips.

The Knotty Pine is a very popular and busy restaurant. You will more than likely experience a wait before a table is ready, but it is worth the wait. They have multiple benches outside to sit on if waiting for a table. The walls are decorated nicely with a farmhouse style theme. They have a great menu with a variety of items to choose from with excellent portion sizes. I highly recommend a delicious breakfast or their hot pastrami sandwich. The food is always served fresh and hot. The customer service is usually excellent as well. I'd recommend giving them a try if you're in the area.

Food was absolutely delicious super big portions!! For smaller appetites split the plate.

My father, the farmer, would have loved this place, as he was always fascinated by old junk, er...antiques, and the Knotty Pine has them hanging all over the walls. My wife and I have dined here many times, and the only thing we ever complain about is parking during the busiest of times.

My husband and I went here for our first time this weekend. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was BUSY. We waited maybe 10-15mins and got seated. Services was fast and they were sweet. The coffee was pretty watery but that’s okay. The food was great. My husband got the French dip and I got the French toast. I can’t wait to go back. Update: my husband and I went back this last weekend about a month later. I got the French toast again, unfortunately it was a little cold, but regardless it was still delicious. My husband got the French dip again as well and said it was amazing.
