Zac's Catfish and Chicken

We were greeted on 11/24/2023 before closing by a sweet young lady. She was pleasant and gave her recommendations. Facility clean We had the pick 2 platter. Catfish and shrimp were to perfect, seasoned well and not overcooked. Very fresh and the fish was a perfect crispy outside and fluffy flake inside Catfish 8.7/10 Shrimp 8.7/10 Turnip greens I had a love hate for lol. Extreme spicy kick but sweet but not balanced. However, I would get them again, I think. Fries were fresh, toast was perfect, hushpuppies crispy and sweet, fried green tomatoes a little greasy, but hey, a little grease okay you could see the seasoned batter. Turnips 7.5/10 Fries 7/10 it's a fry Toast 8/10 Fried green tomatoes 9/10 Hushpuppies 7/10 A1 review!

Worst seafood platter I've ever had. For price ofplatter, food wasnt up to par!! it wasnt worth $25. I'm very disappointed in them. Their seafood platters used to be very good. Oysters were so small, nothing but crust. One small piece fish. 4 small shrimp, one crab, mostly fries and coleslaw. So sad!!

Appetizers are amazing ???? Fried Okra and Tomatoes were true Southern food and fresh made. The chicken was delicious and the cheese bites were really good also. The only complaint was the fried fish. Need some seasoning or change in batter. Maybe use the okra batter on the fish too ??????????? We'll definitely be back though, it was really really good!

Staying at the Hampton Inn right behind the restaurant. Don't rely on the Internet prices because there are several years old. But I must say, the prices are very reasonable. The food is delicious and plenty of it. I had the catfish platter and it came with 3 large filets, fries, cold slaw, and 3 hushpuppies. Well worth the $12,99 price. Delicious food.

Food was great. Facility was in desperate need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. The floors were grease slippery. Dining room was cold. Out of things like lids and cup tops. Menu prices on line were desperately out dated. But the food was really good.
