New's Restaurant

I know that this place has been in Meridian for a long time, but we ate there on September 1, 2023 and I have to say that it's a really great place to go. The food was made fresh and delicious. The service was great and it was a really cool place to be. Very family friendly and wonderful and welcoming people there. I love it and will be going back as soon as we can. It was also priced budget friendly and worth every bit!

very friendly! food was excellent! i had veal cutlet sandwich with onion rings! i have never had better! Husband had lunch special with fish and fried egg plant and purple hull peas! all the veggies looked really good!

The burgers we had were absolutely amazing. Was very interesting that they fry the patty as it gives it a very different flavor. Unfortunately the pork chops, fries, and turnip greens were just about flavorless. Will definitely go back for just the burgers but am not sure I will ever try anything else. Price for what you get was very reasonable and staff was friendly. The cook/chef even came out of the kitchen and was talking with customers.

The owners were so nice. Food was great. The tea was good too.

This place is a throwback to an earlier era. The ambience is old south but in the best possible way. I had the etouffee and I loved the more soup-like consistency. My friend from the area says we have to experience the entertainment on Thursday and Friday nights. Don't miss this place during your stay.
