Nice and simple American fare that was well prepared with friendly staff. The best fried mushrooms I've ever had, perfectly breaded and fried without being greasy.

Very polite, very fast with getting food out. Best known for their delicious high quality Desserts! Every day they have different specials along with their Everyday menu. Our family loves it! Very reasonably priced.

Great food, generous portions and good value. On our way home to Chicago from Florida by way of Memphis, we were looking for American home cooking & we found it! I had the Ruben hubby had the Patty Melt. Delicious & the owner was very hospitable we couldn’t resist having pie for dessert yummy!

This is an awesome restaurant in Mt Vernon! Regular cafe type fare. I got a grilled chicken salad. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I tasted the burger of someone I was with and it was an excellent burger. It was lunch and I don't need dessert but they looked amazing.

I was looking for something local to eat, not the usual fastfood places which are everywhere. So I arrived here and this pretty small and nice local diner, I got a Reuben's sandwich with baked beans on the side. It was not haute cuisine, but it tasted good and of course way better than McDonald's or other fast food, which you can find plenty in the area.
