The Dore

The food was just okay. I don't think their actual chef was working today. My partner got a smoked meatloaf sammie and it was served on a bun. It should have been served with a thick slice of white bread! I had a turkey Ruben as I ordered it that way. It was okay. Their ranch is homemade and nice and thick. Their Italian dressing is also homemade and it was too salty. The service and drinks were great. Nice atmosphere! The food was just okay. I was told their "chef" has been on the Food Network show and has his own touches on the menu related to that with little icons on the menu. Their menu has a nice variety of choices. We will probably go back a second time

The Dore cheese sauce, though. That is really all you need in life, but add it to their garlic fries ???? and it's a meal in and of itself. I have not had a bad meal here. Locally owned, friendly staff and as an out of towner, I felt right at home. I would say it has a dive bar feel, but it's clean, tidy, and welcoming. Highly recommend this as a stop if you are anywhere near Wellington and need a bite to eat.

After a long day on the road, I was looking for a good dinner. I stopped in, and my server, Abby, was professional but friendly and quick to answer my questions. She was excellent and helped make a good dinner exceptional. Dinner was delicious. I ordered the pork chop entree, which includes a house salad, a loaded baked potato, and a perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender and juicy bonelss chop. Compliments to the chef! It comes with a glaze which you can get on the side. It's tasty, but make sure it suits your tastes. This was an exemplary dinner, and I would certainly eat there again. Note: dinner is not served until 5pm.

I love going back to Kansas and stopping in local hometown restaurants and local bars/pubs. Today, I stopped at The Dore with my 88-year-old mother. She immediately commented on the friendly hometown atmosphere. We also appreciated the great food and the great service.

Cute little spot!! Great food and great service! The beta bowls are perfect!! Chili is great and the Italian salad is ???? the Philly cheesesteaks are amazing and the ham and cheese melt was also on point!!
