Su Casa Marquez

Su Casa Marquez is one of the Couve's gems! If you haven't had their pupusas, you are missing out! I had the carne asada, jalapeño, and cheese and it was divine! I love that you can pick your ingredients. The lengua taco and birria taco were also good. The service was excellent and everything seemed clean for the cozy place!

What a little gem! The proprietor is friendly and the food is excellent. The Sope I had (carne) was tender tasty meat, layered with flavorful refried beans, topped with crunchy fresh lettuce with a cheese topping all settled in to a perfectly textured tortilla. The hot sauces I added were just right. My friends had the torte, street tacos, and enchiladas. Everyone fully enjoyed their food. I will be returning with the goal of working my way through the whole menu. Good simple food seems to be the key.

I visited Su Casa Marquez. It's a tiny eatery that you order at the counter. I tried the barbacoa enchiladas, chips & salsa and a coke. My friend went with a burrito. My food was just ok. The enchiladas were buried under something like a salad. My friend's burrito looked much better. The chips were alright but not worth the extra five bucks and I didn't care for the salsa ($1). I might be able to find something better but feel that other Mexican joints will serve me better. You win some, you lose some. This place is amazing. All of the food is made by scratch. It takes time but it is still really fast! Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. It is family run and they really put a lot of love and flavor into every dish. One of the best places in all of Vancouver.

I love this place!! It’s my new go to for cheese enchiladas. I moved to Vancouver from Los Angeles and have been searching for some good Mexican food ever since, and I finally found it! Staff is very nice as well, and they have a little salsa bar! Definitely give this place a try :) In the photo, is my partners beef burrito.
