South Beach Bar and Grill

Rating here a 4.5. Had such a great first and second experience. They have firm reservation requirements. You will be turned away. And also their security detail is like none I've ever seen, but it's in the hood after all! Anyway, I came early the first time and got to enjoy a chill scene. Our bartender was cool and helpful. I cannot recall the name of my drink, but it was perfect alcohol ratio and not too sweet. The spicy passion fruit wings were perfectly cooked and crisp the way I liked with a nice hint of sweet to light spice.

Went there on Saturday during the drag brunch for a friend's birthday. Ambiance was nice and Tito our waiter was good. Had the beef mofonguitos and Philly cheesesteak rolls which were a bit salty. Ordered the Sobe steak medium rare but got it well done. Wasn't too happy about that since I was hungry and they close the kitchen down after 4pm and they don't start up again until 5:30 pm but to their credit the steak was well seasoned and that yellow rice was insanely well seasoned and flavorful.

One of my girlfriends and I got together and got happy hour at this location. When we arrived I found parking on the street nearby. We walked in and were greeted. We sat at the bar and were served by Brian and he was great. I got the happy hour long island and my friend got the pina colada. My drink was very good. My friend enjoyed her drink as well. The place was super cute and the bill was affordable. We definitely had a good experience.

First, if you aren't into extremely loud music then this isn't the place for you! I know that curves people's experience. First trip there on a Sunday afternoon with my girlfriend upon reservations only. Our reservation was made for 5:30 and we arrived around 4:45. They let us in early, seated us in the middle of the room. Lots of hookah, the place was moderately full but most guests seemed to be in and out. We wanted to order food immediately which we discovered the kitchen doesn't open until 5:30pm so drinks first. No preorders on meals before the kitchen opens but you can have appetizers. We ordered the Guava Island and House Mojito.???????? The drinks we made to perfection, very tasty and strong. I can tell the bartender didn't hold back on the liquor.....it was awesome, we only needed 1 drink. They came up to $31.56...we moved from the table to the bar then our food came with the appetizers.???? (We ordered them together/thought kitchen was completely closed) Appetizers: Wontons (6) $11.00, Mofongo Plantain $12.00. Entrees: Pan Seared Salmon $28.00, Veggie Quesadilla $14.00. Total: $81.00 Appetizers were amazing but for 11 bucks they could've added more than 6 wontons, it was delicious tho! Mofongo Plantain ???????? scrumptious! I'm a Vegetarian and the Veggie Quesadillas were pretty basic...not really a big deal. My GF said the Salmon with rice and spinach wasn't tasty at all. The appetizers is the go-to here. Unless you're adventurous and willing to give the items a go! Small parties and Large parties, there is an extended area for more guests, DJ was okay with the selections, waiters were busy tending to everyone (drinks) so you have to get their attention, Drinks came quickly as the food did as well. Also those blue and purple flowers are supposedly edible.

Great experience. Great vibe. Briana, our server, kept the mimosas coming. Not to many people and a reservation is required due to covid. We went during brunch and the food was great. Music was on point. Definitely will revisit.
