People's Choice Restaurant

I visited this restaurant for the first time last night because someone else recommended it to me as I’m not from the area. However upon leaving and getting In to eat the food I was highly disappointed.I was severed nothing but rice and bare bones and gravy . I wouldn’t feed something like this to an animal. I will never eat here again . Horrible experience and I don’t recommend.

I tried to at least give it 3 stars. If they have favorite ppl they will put them in front of you. I purchased oxtails, rice and cabbage. I feel, for the price, you should get more meat. The oxtails we really tough and undercook. I said maybe they are having a bad day so I will give them another chance. I came back the next week and tried again. Let’s just say I’m done with giving second chances. Honestly I don’t know how they got the number 1 spot. I’ve had better Caribbean food from Top taste and Jerks. From majority of the places I’ve tried overall 10th Ave Jamaican restaurant in Paterson has the best…You’re welcome. It’s worth the drive, the food is excellent & the price is right. They should pay me for this free promotion but I’m being real. Try the jerk I promise you it’s the best!

This place was really good I was new from Ohio here and the only bad part was if you didn’t know what you want GET OUT THE WAY ! the guy at the front seemed like he was impatient but we got stew chicken , rice and peas salad and cabbage ????, it was really good we got a large and a beef pattie you can tell it was made from scratch , I CANT WAIT TO COME BACK . My husband loves island food , and I really enjoyed it .

The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because of the oil at the bottom of the food. Otherwise, the flavor is incredible as usual. Back 8/9/21 and the curry was great.

Sorry that did not take a picture of the platters that we ordered they were heaping amounts of food on there and all of it was delicious the curry goat the curry chicken the meat patties it was so delicious and well worth the money is it looking for a Caribbean this is the place
