Horrible hotel. Online for three people it said $107, got there and he said that was the price for one person and it would be $175 for three people. I later saw my bank statement and he charged me $205 after telling me $175 as he took my card to charge it. Got a room because everywhere else was full. Got in the room, it smelled like piss, lights falling off the ceiling, mini fridges stacked on top of other non functioning smelly fridges, candy wrappers shoved between the ceiling fan and ceiling to keep it from rattling and a shower I wouldn’t use wearing a hazmat suit and black mold all over under the sink. Didn’t even unpack because I didn’t want my stuff touching anything in the room. We had the door and windows open because of the smell and the man just walked into our room without warning and told us we had to close the door or he’d charge us extra for running the AC which we weren’t as it was 55° outside. Went out to dinner and luckily the Wyndham had a room open up and was only $155 for three people. Checked out a few hours after arriving and asked for even a partial refund and was told “I don’t care if you were only here for five minutes you signed the paper I’m not giving you anything back.” Don’t trust the pictures. No pool just a dilapidated fence around astroturf. Total tweaker motel. Avoid this place at all costs, keep driving if you have to or sleep in your car. I don’t know how this place is even still operating while there are several other nice hotel in town for the same price or cheaper or how it hasn’t been condemned for the horrendous conditions it’s in.
On Memorial Day.. I barely made it to town with a flat tire on my trailer after driving hundreds of miles on the emptiest road I have ever seen! It was late and the used tire shop in town was closed for the night. Pulled in to the nearest place i could find. The gentleman was friendly and accommodating.. for which I was really grateful. Got room #19. Was able to park right out my door. It smelled clean as I walked in. Microwave, fridge and carpet were all clean. Bathroom and Shower were clean, water was hot and water pressure was amazing (which was really nice after 2 days in the car). AC/heater worked great. No bugs at all. TV in room but; we didn't watch it.
The price and the location are the biggest plusses. It's old, but not run down. The upkeep on a place this old is constant, and the staff seems to have done a good job. They are friendly and fast. It's not the Ritz, but if you're tired, the beds are comfy. The hot water is nearly immediate in the morning. Don't trust the photos you see in the review, they are 4 years old. The pool was closed 3 years ago. So decidedly not a resort, but you get what you pay for.
The inside is nice and spacious. The wifi is very slow. The rooms smell of very old people while the ac isn't effective around a 2 bedroom room. The checkout time is 10 AM! The manager came to our room at 10:45 am ( we slept in sorry) and he was very ride on getting us out. Almost started a commotion between my family and the owner. Even though there were a lot of rooms left for others to rent out he very rudely rushed us out and his (wife or sister) began to clean out room as we packed our car. NOT WELCOMING
This is a fantastic place to stay if your looking for a small, mom and pop style hotel! Park your car right outside of the room and walk into a nice, CLEAN, well maintained room. I don't know if all rooms are like this but our room had 2 full size beds AND a twin. Awesome water pressure in the shower too!
