Puerto Nuevo Mexican and Seafood Restaurant

So good!! Love the sauce bar! I asked to special order my Aros con pollo with yellow, red and pickled jalapeño peppers and that was no problem…..and SO GOOD!!

This seems to be a gem in Taccoa. All other restaurants were closed in downtown on a Friday night, except Puerto Nuevo. It was packed, noisy and busy. The food was really good and seemed more authentic than most Mexican places in Gwinnett or Atlanta. The chili colorado was very food although the meat was not stewed in the sauce. However the meat was tender and sauce rich and flavorful. Service was friendly and quick. I will definitely be back.

Stopped by for dinner on a road trip, with little expectations being in a small town in GA, and wow, am I impressed. The food was excellent, fresh, great shrimp with veggies, low cost, and HUGE portions. This pic is the smaller lunch sized shrimp fajitas! Great attentive and kind service and they made sure to abide by my gluten free needs without any hassle. If I ever pass through here again I will definitely return!

Tried this new Mexican place to just do something different. Turned out to be a very nice place to get some good food. The grilled veggies and ocean perch were cooked perfectly. The beans were so delicious. Can’t figure out what was so good about them but they were the best. Guacamole salad was wonderfully well. Nice and clean with great service.
