Myra's Produce

Melon Shack Produce (aka Myra's Produce) is a family owned small business that we stumbled upon while visiting Cordele, GA. While on our way to the closest grocery chain Google Maps could find, we drove past this little shack with the prettiest flowers and we had to turn around and check it out. It was pure luck that we came across this local produce market! We like to support small businesses and shop local as often as we can, so it was a no brainer that we were no longer going to the superstore. *deep sigh of relief* This charming produce market not only specializes in fresh, quality produce, but they also carry an assortment of items made in-house, including their pimento cheese, various flavors of layer cakes that you can buy whole, halved, or by the slice, and numerous other curated treats. I was really impressed with their expansive selection of fruits and vegetables, but absolutely loved seeing that they had imperfect produce baskets for sale for $1 with things like, squash, peppers, tomatoes, apples, citrus fruits, and even grapes! We ended up coming back right on our way out of town so that we could buy some boiled peanuts and a glass coke for the road. The owners were kind enough to remember us and we will most certainly be returning to The Melon Shack next time we are in the area.

Love this place! We love it. The fresh produce is great. I was buying the Pet milk. Hope that comes back. I do live abt 45 minutes away. Wish I could move closer. The variety of items they have is impressive and if staying healthy is your concern look into all they carry. The frozen and prepared foods are excellent as well. Don't too many of yall check them out. I wanna be able to get what I came for. The atmosphere is what you could imagine the old time general store. You won't be disappointed.

I love this place. I wish I lived closer. The prices are so reasonable and they even have a bargain cart. They have homemade pimento cheese that's fantastic. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

We stopped there from Indiana on our way to Disney World, saw a sign on the highway and thought “Let’s check it out”. Boy, we are glad we did! They had tons of great healthy options, was a cute little shop. It’s been 2 months since we stopped there, but we still bring it up occasionally as part a good memory of our trip. Also, my husband and I are deaf, the staff was so friendly and patient with us. Always a win in our book!
