Mandarin Garden Chinese Restaurant

Drove 4 hrs and somehow was craving for some Chinese food. Im a sucker for salt and pepper pork. Every Chinese place I go to I have to try. Well, it was mediocre. Salty, not much other flavor. Sweet and sour pork had a weird after taste to it. Not terrible but weird War won ton soup was really good. We finished that up in no time. Service was actually nice. Lady was kind to my 2 years old.

Tasty, fresh, authentic Chinese cuisine with good size portions. Reasonably priced. I’d recommend this place if you love Chinese food! If not crowded they will accommodate substitutions and special requests. We had the gluten free rice noodle with tofu, mushroom delight, snow peas with water chestnuts and stir fried green beans.

It's probably one of the best chinese foods we've ever had!! We got the drop noodle soup, it was so delicious! The orange chicken was tasty! Everything we ordered was so good! Too bad we didn't live in the area. It was super crowded when we got there, there were people that's waiting for take out, it will get really busy, and i think if you have patience, you should be able to wait a little, once they get everything piece together, and the business toned down, you will appreciate all the delicious food. That's how yummy their food is. They get too busy with orders. The owner was so nice, and so did the waitress. The price was also reasonable. We can't wait to go back to the area.

I’ve driven past this place plenty of times while here in Tahoe and haven’t ever thought of stopping. Craving Chinese food brought me in today. Place was super quiet, and we were the only people dining here. Phone rang the whole time with people placing orders to go, probably since it’s so cold and snowy outside. Tried the chicken and broccoli lunch special and sweet and sour chicken lunch special as well. They also come with hot and sour soup or egg drop if you choose and egg roll. Food was super hot when it came out, which was great! Loved everything! Two meals and two sodas only came to $29 for the bill, which was crazy and well worth it!

Wasn't expecting much but was blown away by how good the food was. We ordered mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp and combination fried rice.
