A tire of ours picked up a sharp piece of metal about 20 miles south of the bridge (thanks to Michigan construction!). By the time we rolled up to the shop prior to them opening our tire was at 20 psi. They were able to patch the tire from the inside and had us back on the road in less than an hour. The repair has held up great throughout our entire trip around the UP, back downstate and beyond. Thank you so much for helping us in a bind! Reasonable, too!
On Sept 1st before 4pm, we went to Main Street Auto to replace our spare tire with 2 winter tires which were brought by us. They refused saying they were fully booked. We were in the middle of a road trip from Toronto. Without the tires changed, we could not continue our trip. We called St Ignace Auto and they fixed for us in less than 10 mins. But we had to pay extra bridge fee and spent more time. We could not imagine what to do if without the help of St Ignace Auto. Main Street Auto was not helpful and gave us very bad experience.
Like so many others who have reviewed, my car stopped working while on vacation. I have a Chevy Spark, and it needed a new battery, which is VERY small and not always stocked at shops. Brian was very proactive and got me back on the road in less than 24 hours. Highly recommended!
While on vacation about 1,500 miles from home (St. Pete Florida) our truck's dummy light popped up and our engine started running on only 7 cylinders. We crawled back to our camp site (Mill Creek Campground) and called Brian at Mainstreet Auto here in Mackinaw City. Unfortunately it was the start of Memorial Day weekend and we had to wait 3 days until they opened to have our truck towed to Mainstreet Auto. We we're supposed to move on to the the next leg of our trip the day we broke down, so while waiting, we had to cancel other stops along the trip. Brian understanding of our situation moved us up a couple of spots on the repair order, diagnosed the problem (ignition coil), spotted a looming problem with a starting to go radiator. We had to wait another couple of days to get a radiator for our 2000 Tundra so Brian and his men repaired the ignition coil and (delivered) the truck back to us so that we could use it to have fun a couple of days while waiting for the radiator and then once again came and picked up the truck, fixed the radiator, and brought it back out to us knowing that we were stranded at a campground with no other transportation. Thank you so much Brian and all the guys at Mainstreet Auto in Mackinaw City, MI for salvaging our vacation!
Just blew a tire on our camper out on 75. Stopped at Main Street Automotive, and they went above and beyond to help get us back on the road. They had the tires and rims we needed at a good price. Friendly, knowledgeable guys. My husband highly recommends. ????
