Fort Fudge Shop

We love to visit Charlie at the Fort Fudge Shop! He and his staff make some amazing chocolate! I can't eat the fudge because it has dairy in it, but Charlie makes a lot of other chocolate treats without butter! He's also got some tremendous coconut brittle that's dairy-free! He has a lot of the typical tourist-type wares for sale, too. The fact that he stays open year round is a huge plus, as we love visiting the scenic area during the quiet months of winter and spring. Thanks for always teaching us something new about how you make your treats, Charlie! We can hardly wait until we can come up to visit again!

The man who runs this awesome store was so welcoming. We wandered in looking for some souvenirs while we were on a vacation to Mackinaw City. For some reason our cards were not working at the check out, he directed us to a bar by bank, holding our items for us while we ran to an ATM. He also gave us a great deal on fudge!! Which by the way was so good! Thank you! From North Carolina

Amazing fudge, and great workers at the checkout desk. They were super nice, and we were able to ask how long the one gentlemen had worked there, and he lived answering our questions! Not in the UP area much, but this was great Mackinaw Fudge and service!! The cherry chocolate flavor was my personal favorite!

I won't lie. You'll have to take a walk off the beaten path for this little shop. Nestled across from Fort Michilimackinac, on the other side of the highway, you'll meet a man making fudge. Not just any man, but a man who spends every day during the winter making it, then every summer selling it. I met him on Christmas eve. The only shop that was open. Like a dummy, I thought taking my family for a weekend away to an empty town was gonna be a great idea. Unfortunately, the only places open were one restaurant, the grocery store (which had no fudge), and this little gift shop. Run by the nicest old man who chatted up my kids and gave us that small town welcome. Sold me all the fudge I would need for my family who was down south at a better price than what you would typically find.

The guy at the shop was the most friendly person ever. Fudge was good and I've never had that delicious of Carmel corn before. Will definitely return
