We decided on our previous trip to the beach to stop in to a 'Country Style' restaurant for breakfast instead of the norm. fast food biscuits & tots. It was pretty much everything we were looking for. A quaint country atmosphere, friendly ppl., quick service, fair prices & the food came within good time. The over easy eggs, grits & smoked sausage was on point. 5 strips of bacon instead of 4 or 5 broken pieces. The grandson had a biscuit w/patty sausage, a large biscuit w/a piece of sausage the size of the biscuit. The grandson said it was the fluffiest biscuit he has ever eaten. The wife said the fried potatoes were a little dry, thinking they were deep fried. Would have been better cooked on the griddle w/a little bacon drippings or butter. Other than that, we were quite pleased..........We will be eating there again on our next trip to the beach, which will be soon. We might even stop in to try their dinner on the way back home.
Classic diner breakfast. The coffee is excellent and endless. Not fancy, but the perfect morning coffee and you will never see the bottom of your cup. **Grits ** a true southern staple, so simple, yet Kountry Kitchen is what you compare all the others too. The biscuits are the perfect balance between flaky, firm and buttery. On there own or with gravy.
Wife and I were looking for a place for a simple meal. Came here on a recommendation from another business in the area. What a pleasant surprise. Service was fast and friendly. Food was served hot. My clam chowder was definitely homemade. I had the fish sandwich. Wife's chicken salad was delicious. We will definitely be returning. A very pleasant experience.
Restaurant Review: Kountry Kitchen – No-Nonsense, All-Satisfaction If you’re the type who doesn’t need frills with your eggs and who values strong coffee and stronger service, let me steer you straight to Kountry Kitchen. This place is the kind of hometown gem that reminds you why diner-style eating still holds its place in America’s heart—and stomach. From the moment we walked in, it was clear: no gimmicks, no fluff, just food done right and service that doesn’t miss a beat. Our server was a standout—friendly without being fake, sharp without being pushy, and downright clairvoyant with the coffee pot. She dared us to finish our cups before she made her way back, and I swear, she had that refill in hand before the last drop even cooled. That’s a bold move—and she backed it up. The food? Generous, piping hot, fresh off the line, and delightfully basic in the best possible way. This isn’t some curated, small-plate experience with ingredients you can’t pronounce. No. This is bacon that crackles, biscuits that could pass for pillows, and gravy that sticks with you. You come in, you order, you eat, and you roll out—satisfied and full, the way grandma intended. And let’s talk value—because in a world of $18 avocado toast, Kountry Kitchen still believes you should leave full without emptying your wallet. The price was more than fair, borderline generous considering the portions and the quality. Bottom line: Kountry Kitchen doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel—it just keeps it turning, smoothly and without apology. You won’t find art on the plates or Instagrammable cocktails here. What you will find is something a lot harder to come by these days: honest food, honest prices, and people who still take pride in doing the simple things exceptionally well. Highly recommended—just don’t blink or you’ll miss your coffee refill.
Our waitress was just lovely..super sweet. Food was pretty good. Hash browns were not impressive a little on the dry side and just not tasty. Bacon, eggs and toast were good. Rating is a 90, which is a bit alarming.
