Super friendly people and delicious food. I had corned beef hash with ham and spam. There was more meat than potatoes. The fresh bell peppers and onion combined to make it a delicious lunch. I'll be back

When I walked in I thought wow a cozy place to meet and eat. Then I sat down. The server took forever to address us for drink orders and thee was only 3 occupied tables. They served us fancy tasteless lattes before the one black coffee came out 7 minutes later and was asked for again. 2 employees came in with their purses on their shoulders phones in hand looking as though they were just stopping buy to talk to other staff in the kitchen are for 10 minutes. Staff you will see pictured did everything from go outside into a locked shed area, fix her hair, and adjust her pants without once washing her hands. Her “twin” pretty much the same. They proceeded to fill salt containers, pull glasses and serve food. Our pancakes and potatoes were burnt. They didn’t know who ordered what food and didn’t think to ask the group how to split the bill before bringing it all out on one ticket. The tables were sticky and dirty and had hair on them and that coziness became to seem a lot more dirty up close. They need a visit from Gordon Ramsey or Chef Irvine quick.

Let’s begin with parking. Finding the building isn’t essentially easy. The building entrance is tucked in a corner behind a wall. The only signage they have is faded and hard to make out. Once inside we were greeted and sat down. The tables and seating were sticky. There was a sticky residue left on my fingers from simply holding the menus that were placed on the table tops. We began our order with coffee. We were not offered water. Most places I dine in offer water as a default. Good places simply serve water once seated and then ask for any particular drink orders. We then ordered our food. I ordered the McKitchen and my spouse ordered the pork belly eggs benedict. When our food arrived we noticed that the sunny side eggs that came with the McKitchen were over cooked. The yolks were hard. The pork belly benedict had improperly poached eggs. The whites were runny. Inedible. The chipotle barbecue sauce served with the pork belly was much too sweet to be deemed even remotely a barbecue sauce, let alone one with “chipotle”. On top of that, the potato hash served on the side of the dish was somehow soggy and also burnt. Additionally, my McKitchen was served with those horrible potatoes underneath the eggs and other ingredients. We did not finish our food. We had enough to try it and determine it was not good. So we placed our napkins over the hardly eaten plates and the server never came by to ask us how our food was. The only time I received attention was when I asked for my check. The server then asked me if I didn’t like my food. I pointed at both plates and said that the food was not good. So the server returned with my check and I handed her my card. Foolishly, I did not check the balance. The server returned and told me she removed my plate from the total. When I asked why it was so high for two coffee drinks, she then stated in a snarky tone that she had only asked if my dish was not good. I did not argue with her. I simply signed for the check and left no tip. I have always left a tip when dining out, but this truly was a bad experience and the server made no attempts to provide good service nor rectify the improperly prepared food. I hope that the owner sees this review and has a proper meeting with their serving staff and kitchen cooks. The coffee was decent, but if I want coffee I can simply go elsewhere. Be weary of who serves you and if you aren’t satisfied with your food let them know.

Came here on a whim with the hubby. It was a nice spot in Hendo; near McDonald Highland homes. They were pretty packed mid-morning/brunch time on a week day. Staff was friendly. Parking was a bit tight. Outdoor waiting area was nice with different seating options available. Restaurant is kind of tight inside but roomier on patio. Food was great! I got the pork belly green chili dish that was more like green chili chilaquiles with pork belly. The chili sauce was a 6 on the spice level with 10 being hottest. The pork belly could’ve been cooked a bit more but was still good. The hubs got some sandwich with marmalade in it- it was odd but he loved it! I think it was the Turkey BLT. Enjoy!

The restaurant is a bit hidden so your not able to see it so easily. However, it’s a nice and quaint restaurant. The service was a bit slow. We came around 1:30-2:00 pm and there weren’t many people. I did notice a help wanted sign out front so they are most likely short staffed. We ordered the empanadas and it was delicious! We got the custom lemonade which was good however it was a bit too sweet for my liking. My husband ordered the taco salad and it was just okay for me. It was just a basic salad in a taco shell with chicken. They put way too much dressing in it. I ordered the mini tacos. They were decent with a bit of a kick to them but it’s nothing I would rave about. Overall, it was good. I would come back and try their brunch menu instead.
