Very neat small park in a crevice of the city. The bluffs at it's South edge are really a dividing line between the classes of Spokane. Large estates above and tents on dirt lots below. But the park is wonderful, especially the recently restored historical garden. And keep this a secret.... There are rock climbing routes with anchors for top rope activities along the bluff faces. They look fairly well placed and appear to be mostly maintained. Overall the park is great most times of the year for strolls among some great vegetation as you daydream about the people who lived here a thousand years ago as well as the industrious bunch that developed the forgotten garden long ago. Some decent grass lawns are good for picnicking and maybe some Frisbee, but mostly too steep for typical lawn sports. And don't forget to do the stairs leading to the top of the bluffs to keep that heartrate up.
Its on a hill but u can play with ur dog to layout and get a tan ive seen quite a few things people do there its really remote has an old stone stairway like ur climbing up a dark castle but its not its actually pretty nice they have a nice garden to the right.
We visited the Moore Turner Heritage gardens. It was a very steep climb up the steps which weren't all paved so make sure you bring some good shoes. Nice view of Spokane at the top. Definitely not stroller friendly.
Nice grassy slope which connects to the "Tiger Trail". Beautiful view from the top of the trail on Cliff Drive which overlooks downtown Spokane.
My finance took me on the trail to the fall while I was visiting and the view was beautiful.
