Beautiful nature area here in West Lafayette. There's plenty of trails for walking, both in the open grassy area as well as through the woods, plus some paved paths suitable for bikes. It's not uncommon to see lots of wildlife, including deer, squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, and many species of birds. Plenty of parking, and bathrooms are available at the nature center. If you love nature, walking, or taking photos this is the place for you!
We wanted an easy access spot off of hwy 65 to stretch our legs and walk the dog. This place was just right. Lots of parking, a heated bathroom which was open even thought the nature center wasn't. Miles of trail and smaller loops which are clearly marked. Dogs ok too!
Surprisingly busy little park with nice walking trails in and out of the woods. Ruby the screech owl is the star of the park, with many people stopping to take its picture.
It's a great place for a stroll with your friends or just a bike ride. Would recommend wearing shoes since the grass can have small insects that cause bumps. Please explore smaller trails as they lead to white picturesque views within the Bog.
Great trails for walking or running. Pavement, wood chips and dirt paths are available. Many open viewing areas with seating for wide panoramic views of the bog and sky, too! Trails can be as long as 1/4 mile, 1-3 miles or more if you repeat loops.
