I have been visiting this pub intermittently for the past 30 years and witnessed a variety of landlords landladies during that time. Since Sam landlady and John landlord assumed management, the atmosphere and service have undergone transformation, all of which has been for the better. This was a lovely pub for drinking, with a majestic design! This is contributed to from the architecture with its curves, pillars linking to the floor and the stylish counter. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed a refreshing Gin with Lemonade, sitting outside in the heat!

Been in stafford for the weekend from derby, and what an absolute pleasure to drink here, great prices great drinks. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. Clearly a pub that has had a lot of care and attention put into it. Well done to the management there. We finished our evenings here and popped in during the day too. Really enjoyed this place.

Nice place with friendly staff. I had the Mexican chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The burger didn’t look like the most amazing thing ever, but it was pretty tasty and did a good job at filling me up. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy.

Not a bad pub, with good service — the tables outside are very wonky though
