Aya Japanese Steakhouse

I felt rushed. The service could have been a lot better, but the food came out quickly, was hot, and overall decent. The place could use some spot cleaning. It was visibly dusty, which was pretty disgusting.

All-you-can-eat sushi place in Carlisle. One of the rolls tasted funny which I paid the price later. I guessed I would not be back for the sushi. They also offer hibachi as well which we haven't tried yet.

We met some friends and the four of us enjoyed habachi for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty quiet and we were a small party while the other habachi grill next to us had a larger party. Our chef did not seem to want to be there while the other table looked like their chef was having fun and giving the show you expect at habachi. Regardless, the food was good and service was efficient. The bathrooms are reasonably clean, the restaurant is a bit dated. We would return if we lived in the area as the lunch habachi prices are very reasonable and my friend liked her sushi.

The hibachi experience was great and the food was amazing. It can get a bit pricey but the food and interaction with the chef is well worth the extra cost.

I love the food but the woman who was seating us was very unfriendly and rude. She asked if we wanted sushi, I said no we aren’t ordering sushi and she immediately went to seat at a hibachi station and I told her we wanted the regular seating and got a nasty “that’s why I asked” and I said “I thought you asked if we were ordering sushi” She says “no that’s what we call the regular seating” ???? How is anyone supposed to know that? I thought she was asking so she could give us a sushi menu. She was unclear and then extremely rude to us after I said we wanted regular seating.
