Yadkin Plaza Restaurant

Very nice service - great folks. Food was good and prompt. I left my purse there and they are closed on Sundays and no answering machine.

I have tried several different items on the menu during my stay the last few months, and I have not been disappointed.

Food is always good here for breakfast, lunch, supper or anytime in between. Have daily specials for lunch and supper along with a large selection of other plates and sandwiches. Service is great with waitresses are cheerful, courteous and friendly. Restaurant is always packed at lunchtime during weekdays. They are open Monday thru Saturday and closed on Sunday.

To say we were highly disappointed in the food would be an understatement. Supposed to be a family restaurant as just about every age was there. Typically "specials" are in ADDITION to the every day menu. We both had meals that should have had mashed potatoes but waitress said ONLY veggies available were listed with "specials". I ordered an open-faced roast beef sandwich with grave (no mashed potatoes, obviously). It was roast beef Sandwich Meat (very dried out) on a hard piece of bread. Could NOT cut through meat NOR bread! Potato salad was nasty & both of our meals were inedible. We had 2 waitresses as our 1st one disappeared. 2nd waitress was snippy & copped an attitude when we explained how bad our food is & unavailability of standard menu items. We ended up returning food after quick sampling it at restaurant & got a Club Sandwich to take back to hotel.

The food was amazing!!! I got the veal, it was delicious!!!!
