Beautiful display of memorials. Nicely laid out. Love the sculptures. Nice Riverfront place to be. Nice spot for launches.

I mistakenly went here to watch a launch that had been postponed a day. It's a beautiful park, especially at dusk, and would be a perfect place to watch a rocket launch from! There are bathrooms, and plenty of space and a fair amount of parking (though I'd get there early on a launch day.)

Superb location to watch rocket launch from KSC. Free parking, shaded areas to sit, restrooms. 1hr drive from Orlando.

My dad, stepmom, and I were in town looking for a good site for viewing the SpaceX launch, and we were recommended by a local photographer to this nice little gem of a park. Being focused mainly on the launch, I didn't take full advantage of checking out the many historical plaques and monuments dedicated to our country's greatest heroes, which gives me an opportunity to return. Even with a pretty significant crowd, and with local news teams, Veteran's Memorial was a peacefully energetic place of dignity. We saw a few people collecting donations for the park, and were happy to contribute; and it was awesome to see people come together and gather happily in the wake of the recent storm, in order to witness the launch. Veteran's Park offers scenic riverside views, a pier out to a covered observation deck; plenty of relaxing "sit down" spots, and restrooms. The vantage point for Kennedy Space Center is about a mile closer than many of the observation spots to the south. Parking can be a bit of a bear, especially on an event day, but it is free, and may only require a walk of a block or two. On launch days, probably plan to be there about 2 hours early for that prime front row view.
