Turner's Seafood Market & Fish n Chips Shoppe- Gloucester

Came from Maine was told to try Turner's for Fish and Chips. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the state a must see in Gloucester Friendly Great Service. Crispy and Flaky and Lite was So Delicious a Filling Meal. 10 out of 10 Thank You and Will be back Soon.?????? Went back as I had planned and got the Lobster Rozotto Cakes also grabbed a couple of Stuffed Clams. Incredible again Turner's You have out done Yourselves and again great service Friendly Helpful . Amazing fish n chips! We were lucky enough to grab a table outside on a beautiful day. The fish was light and flaky and the fries were some of the best I've had in years. Will definitely be back!

We went to Turner's to try their famous fish and chips--amazing!! But the main attraction is their fish market featuring a wide variety of fresh fish straight from the docks!

Went to Turners on a Sat at 6pm to ordered fish & chip dinners, a rare treat. The manager? was outside yukking it up with a friend. The young man inside took my double order, and began to fry the chips. A customer came in to buy fresh fish, a sizeable order that took about 15 minutes and cost him a small fortune. no problem i thought, as the fries sat there, surely he would make fresh frites. An older gentleman came in looking for his 6:30 online order of fish and chips, but loudly proclamed that he had requested less fries and extra fish. He got fresh fries, my two baskets were still sitting there, now with fish on them. the manager who had come in listened to him, then took a fillet out of my order and put it on the other guys basket. Said "wait a minute, did you just short my order, and those fries have been sitting there for 20 minutes!" The manager said no they haven't you just got here, we're closing and first come first serve". called me a liar. i said forget it i want my money back. paid cash, just give it back thankyou. i felt bad for the young man as his boss asked what i ordered and threw the money on the counter. I left and as i getting in my car the door flew open and the angry manager yelled "don't leave without your order!!" and threw a large bag on the porch in front of my car. The young man must of told him i had been patiently waiting since 6pm for my order i thought, and at least my husband could at least have the fish out of his dinner. The bag had one full order with congealed fries, a box of congealed fries and several expired containers of horseradish and coleslaw. what an insult. This absolutely happened, Sat July 2, 2022. 3 people know it to be true, myself, the young man and the rudest retail manager i have ever had the displeasure to deal with in Gloucester, and yes I am a local, 69 years.

I wasn’t sure about trying this place because there are mixed reviews about the fish and chips. My husband is a fish and chip fan and we tried them around the globe. Well boy am I glad we stopped! We just got one order to start in case it wasn’t great.. well we gobbled that down and I just walked out after ordered a second round! DELICIOUS, you can absolutely taste the freshness. I also snagged some Nantucket bay scallops while there and I’m looking forward to those tonight. The guys were kind and helpful! Thanks Turners for some awesome food!
