A wonderful area to take a quite leisurely walk along the tree cover paths up to two miles in two directions.

Nice place but listing is incorrect about dogs allowed. Brought my dog there based on this listing and a ranger very nicely let me know that dogs are not permitted. So go with your human family and friends but leave your dog home.

I love this place. It's one of the calmest, most peaceful places I know to walk, which is the reason I go there. I park at the red bridge parking area, cross over the bridge then walk 2 miles to Reber's bridge and back while enjoying the river, which goes alongside of the trail, shade (which I love), nature, and minimal exposure to people! It is so relaxing and beautiful. There are public rest rooms at the parking area as well as benches and picnic tables and a pavilion. If you are looking for a peaceful place to gather your thoughts, I highly recommend it!

Very beautiful park. There's a huge trail that is split into several small trails that also runs through several well taken care of parks. To the people complaining about the no pets rule, maybe try petitioning a solution to this issue to Berks County parks&rec. They have a lot of empty land around Grings Mill that they could afford to turn about half an acre or so into a designated, and fenced-in dog park for Reading residents, but as of right now this is the rule: "Pets are NOT allowed in any park area except Antietam Lake. (Seeing-eye dogs & helper animals are permitted.)".

This is great place to check out. The covered bridge is pretty cool to see. When you cross over the bridge the path leads to a bike and walking trails. The path hugs the creek for added scenery. If walking watch out for bicycles and if riding a bike watch out for pedestrians. Sometimes they hold music events here and other activities.
