Travelodge by Wyndham - Memphis Airport

Booked this hotel because it is close to the airport and we had an early flight. We dropped our bags off before check in and just the lobby gave us a bad feeling. We asked to see the room before checking in. The hallways are poorly lit and smell like cigarettes and mildew. The room was atrocious. It looks like the carpets have never been shampooed or vacuumed, nasty sticky black stains everywhere and all over the walls and surfaces of the room. The bathroom was okay, but the paint was peeling off everywhere. I saw what appeared to be a dead bed bug on the carpet next to the bed. We noped out of there so hard and the only redeeming quality of this entire place was that the woman at the front desk kindly refunded us without any difficulty. DO NOT STAY at this hotel. They don’t offer an airport shuttle, it’s in an unsafe area and the cheap price is simply not worth bed bugs or staying with all of the unsavory characters we saw in the halls. Wyndham should be ashamed to call this a hotel. I’d rather camp in a tent than stay one night there.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! THE PHOTOS DO NOT REFLECT ITS CURRENT STATE. THE HOTEL IS NOT EVEN RECOGNIZABLE. This hotel is a "locals" hotel where locals "live"...it is absolutely trashed and filthy. We made a one night reservation and once we actually found the hotel (it doesn't look like the photos and the sign is a temporary vinyl sign hung on a fence) We should have been alarmed by the group of people hanging out in the parking lot drinking....or all of the cars in the parking lot that looked like they were not functional... We checked in late so i dont expect night staff to be really customer oriented but we we given a room that had not been cleaned AT ALL and upon discovering this, we decided to just cancel and leave..it was too much even for two rednecks on a hunting trip. I went to the counter and told the girl I wanted to cancel, she said that's fine but insisted on checking the room to see if we had "messed it up at all" even after telling her it was not cleaned, nor were the beds made, and still had wet and dirty towels on the floor... She could not guarantee a refund and when questioned further she started getting angry with me. I chose to just walk away because the argument would get me no where.

This hotel doesn't compare to what you see in pictures online. Our experience was definitely false advertising. The lobby seemed to look nice when we walked in, the staff was nice. Our room was a complete mess. Holes in the wall, hole in the chair,stains on the bed frames, on the lamp shade, bathroom gross. Wood holding up the bathroom counter. We even joked that we were surprised there wasn't cockroaches. No joke the day we left we found a cockroach in the drawer as we packed up ????.

When arriving the woman in the picture below checked my ID and gave us our key. My cousin and I went up to the room provided and seen the absolute worst room I ever seen. Beds wasn’t up to standard and bathroom was covered in nasty film. Went downstairs to speak to the woman below and all we got was a nasty attitude. She laughed and gave us another room. We thought it was a done deal and went on about our night. A hour goes by and we wake up itching. Turned on the lights and IT WAS BED BUGS EVERYWHERE!! I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. The woman below was rude, bald, and honestly a waste of an employee. Y’all need to fire her for misconduct. I got my refund, along with other things.

This hotel is very nasty and tacky. The room smells of mold, the bed frames are old and dingy. The towels and sheets/bed spread was dirty. Staffed has bad attitudes. Everything under the sun probably has happened here. Stayed there 2 nights and on the second night at 1:27am we were woken up accused of smoking ( we weren’t). They were very rude and just barged into our room while my family was sleeping.
