The Original Saugus Cafe

A piece of history. As of December 2023, breakfast meals are priced between $14-$18. Seating comfort was about average. Servers were prompt and pleasant, refilling our coffees when they looked low. I had a Denver “omelette” with home fries and an English muffin. Other than their delicious pan-fried English muffins, there’s nothing all that remarkable that would make me want to come back. It’s…one of the places.

I had a delicious BLT (PICTURED) My partner had a burger (not pictured) we were not sure if they were open. This cozy diner holds lots of history and excellent customer service, provided to us by Maria. She was very attentive and kind. They have a large menu and a welcoming restaurant. We would recommend them for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Great place to stop for classic dinner food. Very friendly and attentive service. The food was great. The price is what you'd expect for the post covid era.

Not bad food as far as taste but overall… bad! I’ve lived in Santa Clarita for almost 20 years now and people have always ranted and raved about this café and I’ve never tried it until today. I had food delivered. Two entire pieces of my bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich literally had no bacon on it. There was enough lettuce on it to make a side salad. I was extremely disappointed and I’m still hungry, because there wasn’t enough quality substance to my food. I definitely don’t think that a lettuce sandwich was worthy of $14

Cute historic place. They could do more to embrace the history of the diner, but it's not absolutely necessary. It's still a good dining experience with notes from the past all around. Good diner food & friendly staff.
