The Hut

The Philly Cheese sandwich I ordered (and paid $12.00 for) was probably as poor and sorry as any sandwich I have ever had. On the other hand, if you like a mayo sandwich, you might like it. Other than the lettuce, that's all that was on it. Anyway, whoever heard of a Philly Cheese sandwich with lettuce on it? It was horrible. If you want a good one in the Somerville, TN area, let me know. It won't be from The Hut, however.

BBQ place under the category of American. Great bbq sandwiches but also bbq nachos, pig salad, bbq quesadillas, bbq stuffed potatoes and the good ole bbq plate. The other menu items are excellent and the place also has a good reputation for its lunch specials and a Sunday meat plus three buffet. Enjoy.

Myself and 3 other friends had lunch today at the Hut, we were pleased with the friendly service from the greeter at the counter uppn enteing the restaurant, and service from the wait staff. The food was great, temperature ready as it was brought to the table. The wait staff checked on us thought out our meal, very prefessional demeanor, and with a pleasant smile and attitude.

We have been going here off and on for 6 years. In the past 2 years or so the service and food have really gone down hill. I am 100% for small business, but not horrible customer service. This past experience was the last for me. We were a party of 8. We ordered all at the same time, stated it would be seperate checks 6 on one, 2 on the other. The original waitress was so kind and helpful. Then somehow she gets pulled from our table after getting drinks, Taking the order, bringing the appetizer, and getting our orders to the kitchen. The waitress that took over was rude. She brought all but 1 order out, brought them all at different times, never refilled drinks etc. 2 orders of the 3 chicken tender orders were burnt to a crisp. The last order she forgot ( which she didn't figure out on her own, we had to flag her down) came out burnt, and after the rest of the party was finished eating, therefore, it was taken to go. The poor waitress who originally was our waitress, I doubt received the tip. We won't be back. We have attempted to go 4 times since the service and food went down hill, and each time it gets worse.

Tried their BBQ plate with slaw and fried okra. Food was very good, would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
