Food always seems to be great here and a really good value. I feel like this is one of Pickens' best kept secrets. If you're in town I definitely recommend stopping by.

Let me say 1st that THIS IS NOT A BUFFET. IT IS NOT AN ALL YOU CAN EAT. It is CAFETERIA STYLE. You buy the meat and veggies as a plate. Then, outside of that set plate price you pay per side. You get a meat, 2 veggies and a drink for 12.50. You get a tray and say this meat is what I want and these veggies. You pay at the end of the meal. The lady dishing up the food was friendly. Our server was also friendly. Our food was warm and seasoned ok. The fried chicken I really like. It was NOT dry at all. And the skin was crispy. The mashed potatoes were really, brown gravy was a good consistency but, is on the thinner side. The okra was delicious. It was fresh with cornmeal breading. Needed to be more crispy though. The fried potatoes are a NO. They didn't have any seasoning and were NOT cooked all the way through. The mixed veggies were good consistency cooking wise and melted butter on them. Hubby said the fish was ???? (delicious). It is also a large size piece. Cornbread was SWEET and crumblely. The steakhouse roll was soft and warm. Reminds you of the ones you use to get at Ryan's. The sweet tea was good. Not to sweet and had crushed ice it. The total for 2 people to eat with tax was 27.00. Also there is a BBQ smoker outside and it smells delicious. They also have BBQ sandwiches as a plate you can buy by itself. Overall it was good.

This was our first visit. The food was not bad and the meal was reasonably priced.

Great place for a meat & 3! They also have a rotating special menu, & my favorite is the smokehouse addition. ???????? Very kind staff!
