Pumpkintown General Store

Good but not great diner food, but much better pricing than everyone else these days. I had the hamburger steak which was a little over done and the crinkle fries seemed "dry", which was unusual. The curly fries were much better. Service was friendly, but slow with a full restaurant on a Saturday at lunch with difficulty getting refills on drinks and the kitchen was behind. You can see the outlines of the original general store which was very interesting. Bathroom was clean. I would return if in the area again.

!!!HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Look at the other reviews and you’ll see the same. Bring a tent and sleeping bag because you’re gonna be here a while. Great food but the absolute worst service of any restaurant around. Plan on waiting 30 min for an order to be taken another hour for food. Need a refill? Might as well set outside and wait for a rain shower to refill your drink before any of the waitresses. And don’t think it’s because they’re too busy. The only thing busy is them chit chatting in the back. Want a clean table? Well I hope you have a Time Machine because they haven’t been cleaned in years. You could go to a steakhouse and be out quicker than eating here.

If your looking for a true Hole In The Wall country type restaurant, make sure you stop in to Pumpkintown General Store. This as country as it gets. The staff is very kind and quick to take care of you. You'll be happy you stopped in to experience small town USA.

The food and service is great. I love the old styled cabin look, but it's brought down by all the Trump merchandise and advertising. I go to a restaurant to eat, not to view upon one of the most controversial presidents in American history.

Went today around 9, finally left at 10:00 never were served. Asked, hadn't even started the order yet. An hour later. Don't bother going on a Saturday. To the owner, you don't deserve that restaurant or the clientele. Time to retire.
