Teriyaki To Go

Excellent food and service. While visiting Folsom I stumbled upon this gem of a place. I ordered a rice teriyaki dish with tofu and vegetables. It was excellent!! Real tofu not the spongy kind. The portion was a good size. It was so tasty and light. Not full of oil. The owner, I'm assuming, was friendly and had lots of pride on his excellent dish. I ordered a to go chicken noodle dish for my son. He also raved about how good it was. My new favorite place to go to.

The restaurant is small but has some tables inside. The menu was simple: choose your protein and choose between plate/bowl/noodle. We ordered and paid at the cashier and the same guy cooked our food. - Chicken plate: chicken was tender & cooked perfectly but it was bland. The teriyaki sauce slathered on top was the flavoring for the protein. The portion was good regarding the price. The salad tasted fresh but the dressing was too much. - Beef bowl: the thinly sliced beef had a nice char but again, the meat was kinda bland. It seems like they put the teriyaki sauce to flavor the meat. They gave quite a big portion of rice underneath. The price was affordable for the portion. The meat was well cooked but it was bland. For me, it was 3.5 stars

The chicken noodle bowl was delicious. The man who owns the place and works here is very nice and professional!

The food is good and the owner is very polite. I hope more people visit here to eat. Local business like this deserve all the love and support.

I've been eating at this shop for over 14 years. It's hands down the best teriyaki noodle bowl around. The owner is very friendly and hard working. I no longer work close by but every time I'm in Folsom, I stop in for a double chicken teriyaki noodle bowl.
