There's nothing more New York City than the diversity of her people and the foods that represent them. Tacos Bronco is an unassumming non-frills food truck. They usually have a line of people waiting but, thankfully, they have a quick turnaround. All to say: Order your food with a purpose. They're never rude but they will move onto the next person if you're not ready. And how is it? Delicious. Simple. Affordable. They also have a dine-in location on 4th avenue around 43rd but I actually prefer the truck experience.
One of the most hyped taco stands in NY (based on what reddit says lol) so I swung by here for a cheap bite! They only serve tacos and they were about $3 each. There was a large crowd when I went but ordering was easy. You take your order with one of the workers' with their ipads and you pay after you receive your food. After that you wait in their seating area until they call your name. The taste of the tacos do not compare to California's but it was alright for what it is. I could not taste the difference between their al pastor and steak lol. Both could use a little more seasoning tbh.
The best tacos I have had in New York City. Birria and Al pastor were my favorites. $28 for 8 tacos and a horchata. Great prices. Great portions. Their ordering system is pleasant and makes the experience one of ease and delight.
The best damn tostadas! The real kicker was the mint dressing. Pro tip: Gobble up on tacos and then go burn some calories at Sunset Park which is a 5 min walk from here.
