The charge a credit card processing fee even if you pay with cash. Food was good, pictured is the Texas Brisket Melt which was very filling. The family dining room was a bit small, but we arrived around 4:30 so had no trouble being seated. But when we left there was probably 20 people waiting to be seated. TVs play funny animals from YouTube which is a bit odd at a BBQ restaurant but hey it works lol. 4 stars are for the credit card fee when paying with cash.

I’d heard great things about this place and I was passing through town and stopped in for some take out. The employee in front didn’t know the answer to my most basic questions about the menu, which is a bad first impression, especially since their menu is small. I asked if one of their menu items had a common ingredient which is a food allergen for me, and after first answering ‘I don’t know’ she then said ‘probably not’, and just sat in her chair looking blankly at me. I had to ask her to go find out, which apparently never occurred to her. I ordered the two meat with two sides platter to go, with pulled pork, brisket, collard greens, and the soup of the day. The portion sizes were good. I tried the collards first, and was hit with the taste of strong raw vinegar and not much else. I moved on to taste the soup, which was so loaded with grease and chunks of fat it was inedible, there was literally a quarter inch of grease floating in the cup. I moved on to the meat, and (surprise) it was not good. The pork was a dried stringy mess and was way too salty, and I’m a person who loves salt, so that’s saying a lot. I tried the brisket next and it was smoky, but was also dry and chalky in texture and tasted of raw paprika. I’m not embarrassed to say I spit it out, it really was that bad. This food was so disappointing it actually made me a little mad because for the price the food should be edible at the very least. I don’t know if I just happened to be there on an off night, but what I was served was the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. I’ve travelled extensively and lived in the south, so my palate has been educated on some of the best BBQ out there, and this food was a huge disappointment in comparison. I will say the restaurant was very clean and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. I wish I had more compliments to give.

Amazing experience, the Brisket here is so delicious. It is worth swinging by here. Excellent customer service.

Just there last night. Large portions. My husband and I finished up the left overs tonight. Ribs were best I’ve had. His burger with pulled pork was 10/10. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend. Loved it! Unique church pews for booth benches.

Very helpful and friendly people, atmosphere in this place is great not too loud music playing. The food was great. I will be back if I get close. It's a must to check this place out
