Rice Country Grill

We had my sisters baby shower brunch here and the staff went above and beyond! They did a massive spread for our party of 25 and the food was amazing. Anything we needed they quickly provided. Very affordable and Highly recommend!

I expected great things, and I was disappointed. Service was slow and horrible. They had some kind of event happening and instead of letting other non event patrons know there would be a longer wait time upon arrival, or having extra staff to service patrons who weren’t attending the event, I was seated, and had my drink order taken (unsweet tea) and delivered. Within 10 mins food order was taken. An hour later food showed up. I ordered the pan seared chicken breast with mushrooms and brown gravy a house salad and sweet potato fries. When the food finally arrived it was plated nicely and the portions were large. Much more than I could eat. First bite wasn’t too bad. A bit dry, but gravy helped. Second bite was extremely dry, salty and chewy. Nothing helped. I ate one chicken breast and the salt flavor just intensified, so much so that I couldn’t eat the second one. Sweet potato fries were decent. No added salt or flavor to them. The house salad was decent. The banana peppers that came with them were mushy, but the ranch tasted freshly made. They have a small Starbucks inside the place but no actual barista and not many things an outside Starbucks would have. So getting a custom drink isn’t possible. They did have a dessert menu, but $8 for a small dessert wasn’t a great option as far as pricing goes. My total was around $21.90 for my food and drink. When the waitress came by, I asked if they were always like this or if it was just because of an event. She couldn’t really answer me and became flustered. I would have increased the star rating if I had been told that our wait time would be longer than normal, or if someone had apologized. But there all the staff was attending the event and no staff were attending the other patrons there. Honestly not worth the price or going to this place to me because of the service and salty food.

I just had the best BLT ever at Rice country Grill! This is the second time I’ve been here. The first time I had Cajun chicken pasta… It was so good. I googled the recipe and made it at home. They are very kind and the food is delicious.

Son had the Chicken and Waffles and I had the Chicken Fried Steak. Best Chicken Fried Steak I have had. Food was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. Service was great as well. Not sure what happened to others on their visit but they were on the ball today. I will be returning and bringing my friends!

the food left sooooo much to be desired. the gravy tasted like it was from a can, the mushrooms were not fresh but the kind you buy in a bottle. The onion rings were low end frozen kind. I ordered the grilled chicken and that looked and tasted precooked and microwaved. The Mac and cheese tasted like they were the microwaveable stouffer's kind. When I I saw their sign that read home cooking I thought down home sit down meal. Not a shut up and eat it cuz I was too tired to cook a decent meal meal. Oh and we got upset stomachs, we joked about it because this place is in back of a medical clinic and there is a pharmacy that can be seen from the tables. Oh and the coffee you get it from a Starbucks (yuck) that is in the place. I saw to ladies wait for quite a while the staff made them their drinks. The girl behind the counter seemed lost. Never a gain.
