The food is finger lickin’ good! I got the beef ribs platter and it is amazing! The macaroni salad has mustard and the sauce is creamy. The ribs are humongo. The chef mentioned that he smokes the meat outside on the wood for hours starting early in the morning. He was very friendly and talkative. The cornbread with butter forked with the macaroni salad together is a tasty combination. A very good place to go for comfort food on a cold day. There’s also grub hub available for delivery orders. There’s a small parking lot, but plenty of window space to see the vehicle and the orders are put together quickly.
The guy working was nice. Was not impressed with food at all other than the macaroni salad. I got the beef rib plate and added couple of pork ribs. They seemed like they were bathed in liquid smoke. There's a difference between real smoke flavor and liquid smoke. Real smoke flavor washes of the hands. The oil of the liquid smoke stuck on me for 2 days. I will not go back.
We stopped in the other night after driving by for almost 5 years since moving to Puyallup. We always love the smokey smell but just haven't taken the time to stop. We were pleasantly surprised by all the delicious food! The brisket was tender and flavorful! The BBQ baked beans were some of the best we've ever eaten. The pasta salad was tasty. I would have loved mac n cheese but unfortunately they don't offer it. We will be back for more BBQ soon!
Stopped here after craving some BBQ on a night out. Ordered the family platter for $60 plus a brisket combo. I received a good amount of ribs and a good helping of brisket, and four thick slices of smoked ham which was actually really tasty. Some of the ribs and brisket were a little charred, but I kind of like that. Strong applewood/maple smoke flavor came through in all the meat. The chicken was fall off the bone tender. The sides were very good. The macaroni salad had a unique dill style dressing which was excellent. The potato salad was perfect with big thick chunks of taters. The coleslaw was average but still good. Beans had a smokey flavor and a nice bite to them. Cornbread muffins were small, but only about $1.75 if I recall correctly. I would probably order a few extra next time. I grabbed a cheap loaf of bread and made my own sandwiches with everything. Value for money - decent. Not super cheap, but not unreasonable. Overall I would definitely come back to this place.
I have always wanted to try this place since I moved out here a few years ago, because it always smelled so good driving by and I always try to support a local business. I ordered the $23.85 brisket plate. I'm pretty disappointed that 90% of the meat was very dry and tough to chew. There were a few pieces that weren't as dry but for almost $24 I was expecting better quality with the meat. The flavor itself was really good though. The Mac salad and baked beans was very good and something I'd order again. The coleslaw was bland and not something I would get again and I love coleslaw (I ordered a medium thinking it would be good because I've rarely had a bad coleslaw). Whoever made the chocolate cake deserves a raise because that was really good. Not too sweet or dry and had that homemade feel. Based on the sides and dessert alone, I would order from here again but that isn't saying much when I'm apprehensive about ordering any of the smoked meats. Edit: I can't see where I can reply to your comment but thank you for the suggestion. Asking for the capped ends is not an option when ordering via doordash but I will keep that in mind when I visit again
