Piggie Park usually on point when I order a rib plate. But today the meat looked like it was old or something. Maybe some ribs that was left in the fridge for a few days and took out and reheated. And most of it was crispy and thin pieces. And a little chewy. I'm used to my ribs having a pink color with a smoke ring look. I never seen brown looking rib meat. Only thing that was good was the slaw and fries.
Piggie Park definitely has figured out a formula and it works! A 50’s style restaurant with car hop service. Visited on 2 separate occasions and everything has been consistent throughout. Service is prompt and professional. Ordered Plates both times and the portions were substantial to say the least. Ribs were nicely cooked; tender and meaty. Chopped BBQ was slightly dry but their generous sauce portion made up for that. Fries are fresh and for me that is always a plus. Coleslaw is a little sweet for my taste, but still enjoyable. Overall Piggie Park is worth the visit and unless you catch them on an off day I doubt you will be disappointed.
The food is always freshly made to order! The size of the small fries always remind me of steak and shake small fries, so I just get them replaced with baked beans then i’m good to go! I haven’t been disappointed yet, so that’s a plus! I highly recommend!
Stopped here on my way to Alabama. Great spot to get some bbq. It’s been here since the 50’s and you get that old school drive in service. Definitely will be coming back on my next trip through. Keep up the great work. ????????????
Great location! Lots of history and it’s even been in a movie. Food is good. Price is good too.
