Peking Buffet

This is a good place for Chinese food. It's my understanding that the buffet can be hit or miss, but I love their carryout. My person reccomendation is their jalapeño chicken or general tso's chicken. They buffet does have a good selection of foods, including desserts. Rating: 3.7 Grade: B

Absolutely disgusting!!!!! The food was rubbery and old, definitely had been sitting awhile under the heat lamps. Way over priced and I'm pretty sure they charged me extra on the bill. Then harassed me for a tip and when I gave 5 dollars just trying to get out of there she looks at me and tells me that was to low and got an attitude!! Between me and my kids we hardly ate a plate together. It was absolutely terrible all the way around!! Never as long as I live ever will I eat there or recommend anyone to eat there!!!

The food was absolutely horrible! The waitress emptied out sweet & sour chicken with her bare hands and put it back on the buffet. After that, she proceeded to fill another tables cups with half used glasses. When confronted about this, she started to argue that she was only emptying out the pan with her hands to throw the food away. DO NOT GO HERE!

So we were coming home from vacation and wanted supper. We stop, foods rubbery, but it was okay tasting. But then we see a worker PUTTING FOOD INTO THE BUFFET WITH HER BARE HANDS. Then we see her take half drank cups from one table and refill someone else's cup with it! Then the waitress tried filling my cup with soda from another cup THAT SHE USES FOR EVERY DRINK! This place was gross and NEEDS to have a health inspection ASAP!

All that was missing was egg foo young. It's an awesome buffet for a small town. It's got the atmosphere like I was still in the Metro East, but, it's down in southern Illinois.
