Old Fort

True to the meat-and-two-veg Southern diner format, this is a gem of an eatery. They offer extended breakfast on Saturdays, and only ONE item on their lunch/dinner menu is over $10. Daily specials, classic sides, and very decent cornbread as a bread option with most meals (or a dinner roll, if you prefer). Service is efficient, even during busy weekday lunch. Food is good quality start to finish, and checking out after the meal is simple. Clean, and a homey atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're seeking a genuine Southern food experience... even if there aren't rocking chairs out front.

Pretty good food, service was good for how busy it was, and the prices were reasonable. Would not recommend getting the sirloin, but everything else was pretty good. Great biscuits and gravy, bacon, hash brown casserole, and other side items.

My husband and I decided to try Old Fort again (after a bad experience in 2018). This time, everything was GREAT! The service has DEFINITELY IMPROVED. The food was yummy! You get a good sized portion of food for your money. We enjoyed it so much on Wednesday this week that we went back on Thursday. We look forward to enjoying many more meals here.

Family-friendly atmosphere. Always busy but always met with a smile. I have only visited at breakfast, but I am sure all their food is delicious.

Put an order in for pick up. Got home and my delux bufger meal was just a regular ole burger. Very dry because they never asked me how i wanted it cooked and it was very well and very dry. My Reuben sandwich meal was soggy and bread falling apart and very skimpy on the meat. My husband's chicken meal was more of a kids meal with 2 chicken strips, not the breast meal as requested. No napkins or eating utensils at all. This was very surprising to me as i have dined in several times and it was exceptional. What i got for pick up was SLOP. I was so surprised and disappointed because i never encountered that when dining in. Guess I'll fix some ramen noodles....
