Newell House

Love the atmosphere of Grotto which is in the lower level of Newell House. They even have a private event room located in Grotto. Food is good, Music and all around feel is great... Planning to have an event in the near future...

Our favorite restaurant in Carbondale. Very classy. Every time we come here the food is delicious and the service is friendly and fast. One of the only nicer places to eat in Carbondale. Serve a variety of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Damn you Carbondaleans! This was the only decent place to eat in the podunk little town. And because you didn’t support them, they closed! So go! Go eat at your Golden Corral and McDonald’s. See what I care! Oh, and why did you wait for someone to come here from Pennsylvania to report it closed to google? Did your dial-up break too? #shame #sad

Without a reservation we were seated immediately, service was great, food was wonderful. This was our first visit, and I will be back.

The restaurant has amazing food with a really cozy atmosphere. They also have downstairs the Grotto with a full bar, music and cozy atmosphere. Would recommend.
