I genuinely wish there was a way to give this place less than 1 star. I’ve had a horrible experience every time I’ve been there. Their only redeeming quality is that their falafel is half decent. Otherwise, you would never catch within 50 feet of this place.

I am from Los Angeles and stumbled into a video about this place before my trip to Detroit last week (Sep 23 thru 27). Of course I had to check it out. It did not disappoint. That falafel sandwich was SO good! The falafel itself was soft and green on the inside, perfectly crunchy on the outside. (The cook was nice enough to give me a piece of falafel ahead of time to appreciate what I was getting myself into).The sandwich also had roasted eggplant which was perfectly done, lightly fried cauliflower, French fries, a simple cucumber tomato and lettuce topping with a splash of sauce that was bbq-like that added even more flavor. I’m ready to call it the best sandwich in the entire state of Michigan. We need something like this back in LA. It would be a hit. I highly recommend that sandwich. I also recommend you buy some bread on the way out. Side note: cards are accepted here (including tap) but be mindful that you may not get a receipt (because mom and pop).

my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your restaurant . The service was exceptionally poor, with staff displaying a lack of attentiveness and professionalism. Furthermore, the overall cleanliness of the establishment was unacceptable, raising serious concerns about hygiene standards. I hope you will take these issues seriously and implement necessary improvements.

No menu and little English spoken, so I just asked the man to make me what he would make himself. Ended up with a falafel sandwich with roasted/fried veggies, lettuce, tomato, onion, herbs, and an amazing amba sauce. One of the better sandwiches I've had.....for $5. UNBELIEVABLE value and quality!!!

This place has the best Iraqi Falafil, and mix falafel sandwich, the also got the best Iraqi cookie (KAAK), the have gone through few owners, recently the remodel the place looks much better, the place manly for carry out.
