Matero's Pub & Pizza

I used to live in Chicago where pizza was my passion. I grew up in northern Wisconsin and Mamas pizzeria was always my favorite. We were visiting family in your neck of the woods and we were introduced to your place. Fish fry is excellent and the pizza, oh my the pizza. Best I’ve had in many years. The crust, sauce, cheese and Italian sausage were amazing. Can’t wait to eat here again. Thank you for exceeding my expectations. Kudos!

Stop in for the best Old Fashioned in Portage county! Pizza and fish fry are fantastic. Try the meatballs or cheese curds and around St. Patrick's day the incredible Reuben pizza!

Ordered a pizza takeout! We called 50 min prior to pick up. We got there, and our pizza was not ready. Waited 23 min extra. There was NO ONE ELSE THERE! They were not busy and if they are we are glad to wait because we like it so much. We then took ot home, and it wasn't even done all the way! In our 10 years going there, we never had such poor service or pizza!

Some things to note that I haven’t seen at a restaurant in a long time: 1. Was charged for soda refills. 2. They only accept cash Reasonably priced food, but left hungry after licking our plates clean. Cheese curds were amazing….pizza was pretty good…have had a better fish fry but was decent. Service was fairly quick for a busy Friday night.

Potatoes weren't cooked. The fish had a fishy taste. Server was nice.Overpriced.
