CUSTOMER REVIEWS
This seems like the real deal grocery store for Asian ingredients specifically Indian spices. The veggies section is plentiful but not the most organized. It’s not as nice and clean as H Mart or 99 Range but it will have stuff the other 2 Asian stores don’t carry. The meat section is tiny as expected. Also if you need to cook for 50 people at the same time they have the giant pot you would need.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but food safety is important, and I hope this helps at least a few people make the right choices. I purchased a country chicken package from Manpasand on November 29, 2025, which was labeled with a packing date of November 28, 2025. When I got home and opened it, the meat was in unacceptable condition, the smell was extremely unpleasant and rotten, and the texture was slimy, clear signs that it was spoiled. I returned to the store to address the issue, and the Mexican staff member at the meat section told me that they regularly replace labels to make the meat appear fresh. Hearing this was very concerning and completely undermined my trust in the product’s authenticity. Although they did offer me a replacement (including the option to take goat meat), the overall experience left me uncomfortable and disappointed. Please be mindful of where you purchase meat. I understand that this store may be convenient for those around Tech Ridge and useful for quick groceries, but after this experience, I personally wouldn’t prioritize convenience over health. I won’t be returning to buy meat here again.
Shop here carefully. Pricing is very inconsistent and sale prices often don’t ring up correctly at the register. If you shop here, you basically have to watch every item being scanned or go through your receipt afterward because things frequently scan higher than the shelf price. They also seem to use a lot of “ghost tags.” The shelf label looks like it matches the item, but there’s some tiny difference and suddenly the item scans for more. When you question it, they just say it’s not the correct tag. The photo I attached is a good example. The only items on that shelf were jars of mango chutney, and the tag underneath showed $3.79 for the same brand and size. At the register it scanned for about $4.49. When I pointed it out, the cashier said the tag was for a different product. If that’s the case, why is that tag sitting directly under a shelf with only this product on it? Very misleading. On top of that, the service is often unfriendly and sometimes rude. Overall NOT a great shopping experience.
Man Pasand Supermarket on Highway 183 carries a solid range of Indian and Pakistani grocery staples—spices, grains, lentils, frozen foods, and fresh produce. The selection is decent and prices are reasonable. They stock household cooking items and utensils alongside snacks and traditional sweets. Open 10 AM to 9 PM daily. It's a functional neighborhood grocery stop for South Asian cooking ingredients. No frills, straightforward shopping experience focused on providing what you need for Indian and Pakistani cooking. If you're in the area and need authentic groceries, it's worth checking out.
This store seriously needs to be investigated for dangerous food handling practices. I was shocked to see meat products that appeared spoiled still being sold to customers, with packaging showing signs that expiration dates may have been changed or replaced. The smell and appearance of some of the meat were extremely concerning. What made the situation even worse was noticing several Indian food products with the “best before” dates deliberately hidden or covered, making it impossible for customers to know whether the items were expired. This does not look accidental — it looks intentionally misleading. Selling questionable meat and hiding expiration information is a serious health risk. Families shop here trusting the products are safe to consume, and practices like this could make people seriously sick. Customers should inspect everything carefully before purchasing, and local health inspectors should take a close look at this store.
