My kind of place....A hole in the wall place.. with big food and family friendly. Visiting San Jose and was recommended to stop by. Glad I did. Food service and atmosphere was great and place was packed. All service staff was friendly.

Breakfast is okay. Not easy to park your car. Won’t come back due to staff’s service attitudes. Minimum 18% tips? You don’t deserve it.

Such a cute place! The food was amazing! Expect all your breakfast favorites, from fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon to omelets and French toast, but with a modern twist! We all left fully satisfied! The staff were very attentive and friendly! So close to the Vasona Park trail, a great stop after a nice hike.

I have been a regular at this establishment for quite some time, and the staff knows me by name. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have fallen short of expectations. While one server consistently provides exceptional service a woman with greenish hazel eyes she checks on me frequently, another has shown a concerning lack of attentiveness; (short black hair) I often find myself having to fetch creamer and request coffee refills, bill etc. During my latest visit, I encountered an unacceptable issue—a hair was in my food as soon as the plate was placed in front of me. I immediately informed the waitress, who took the plate back to the kitchen. To my dismay, instead of preparing a fresh dish, the kitchen simply returned the same plate, minus the hair. This is not only disappointing but also highlights a lack of care in food preparation when the meal was served cold. As a loyal customer who always tips generously, I expect higher standards for both service and quality. I should have canceled my order in that moment, but I hoped they would rectify the situation. Overall, I left quite disappointed. While I have refrained from giving positive reviews because I value honesty—acknowledging that the food has often been merely average—I was willing to overlook certain shortcomings due to the outstanding service from one particular waitress. However, the inconsistency in the kitchen and the recent decline in service have made it clear that I can no longer justify the expense. I genuinely hope they can improve their standards moving forward.

Lou's Coffee Shop is our favorite spot for brunch and breakfast. It's a great local diner with a talented chef and fresh food. The menu has many options, and the kids love their pancakes. The omelets are huge and come with lots of tasty toppings. Their coffee cake is amazing!
